Andrew Garfield remembers Ledger

(Cover) - EN Movies - Andrew Garfield often thinks about his late co-star Heath Ledger.

Heath passed away in his New York City apartment in January 2008, with his death ruled an accident caused by a toxic combination of prescription drugs.

Andrew had been working on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus with Heath when he died. The star still can’t come to terms with the loss and wishes people would be more respectful about his friend.

“All I know is that I love him. I love him. And I think about him often,” he told UK magazine GQ. “And I get sick thinking about the speculation around his death. You know, that’s death. It’s the one thing that binds us all. It’s like, let it f**king rest!”

Andrew has starred in a host of hit movies including, The Social Network and Never Let Me Go. He can soon be seen playing the title role in The Amazing Spider-Man.

The 28-year-old star shot to fame portraying a former child killer trying to start over in Boy A. He won a series of newcomer awards for his performance, including a best actor BAFTA. Andrew admits he felt overwhelmed by the success and still struggles with fame now.

“That whole night was so shocking and scary,” he recalled about his BAFTA win. “By the time I got home I started to have a panic attack. I had to go out and sit on the steps and look at the sky and say, ‘That’s a cloud. That’s a star. That’s the moon. And that, down there, is a person. And that’s a dog, taking a sh*t.’ It was the result of pure adrenaline fall-off, and the realisation that although the success of the night had felt really nice, it was never going to satisfy me.”
