(Cover) - EN Movies - Christina Ricci has revealed that she “loved” her childhood roles.
The 31-year-old actress famously played Wednesday in The Addams Family and the sequel The Addams Family Values. She also appeared in Mermaids alongside Cher and Winona Ryder in 1990.
Christina believes that her experiences as a child actress have improved her adult career.
“I loved playing the roles that I did as a child,” she told Manhattan magazine. “I’ve always been quite happy with the identity they’ve given me as long as people don’t take that too literally. I think they gave me a great depth of position as an actress from which to start my adult career.”
Christina can soon be seen in new movie Bel Ami.
The film follows a young man named George Duroy and his corrupt rise to power in Paris. Robert Pattinson takes on the role of George alongside Christina, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas.
Christina has a lot of respect for Robert and was struck by how down to earth and “professional” he is.
“He comes to set with no expectations or attitude,” she marvelled. “None of those things you worry someone of his level of fame is going to have.”
Robert is well known as the brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. However, he has now begun to carve out a more serious acting career with roles in dramas Remember Me and Water for Elephants.
“He’s great,” Christina continued. “He’s really an awesome guy and I had a lot of fun working with him.”
Bel Ami will be released in cinemas in October.
