(Cover) - EN Movies - Daniel Craig has vowed to make a “perfect” Bond movie even if it “kills [him]”.
The British actor will make his third outing as the suave spy in the new movie Skyfall. He previously played James Bond in Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.
Daniel is confident he can improve on the first two movies and is excited about the new script.
“There’s a perfect Bond movie out there. And I’m going to find it if it kills me. Which it might. I have to be that way about it. The script that we have at the moment – and this is not just actor hyperbole – I’m genuinely excited about it,” he told the January issue of GQ magazine. “There’s a really good hook. In fact, we now have two or three really good hooks, two might work and that’s what you want. That’s what we had in Casino…”
In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is put the test when her past comes back to haunt her. Bond must track down and destroy an enemy when MI6 is attacked.
Daniel believes the latest 007 instalment – which is being directed by Sam Mendes - can be a hit if the project stays faithful to the original idea.
“But ultimately because it’s based on source material, the book had those hooks. We’ve got those in this script and as long as we hit those, the rest of it is hopefully going to come together,” he added.
Skyfall is currently in production and will be released worldwide from October 2012.
