Dave Bautista: Pratt needs to wrestle

Dave Bautista thinks Chris Pratt would make a great WWE wrestler.

The wrestler-and-actor stars alongside Chris in their most recent film Guardians of the Galaxy. Out of all of the cast, Dave pinned Chris as the one with the most potential to win in the wrestling arena.

“I think that’s easily Chris Pratt because, for one, he’s a wrestling fan, two he’s a former amateur wrestler. I think he’s just got that kind of personality, you know? He said that he actually wanted to go and do some stuff with the WWE. There wasn’t an opportunity for us to leading up to this [the Guardians of the Galaxy film], but I know he wanted to do kind of an Andy Kaufman thing and be a part of the WWE,” he told Cover Media at the Guardians of the Galaxy UK premiere.

Dave admits that the move from wrestling to acting was tough, but has impressed viewers in films such as House of the Rising Sun, The Man with the Iron Fists and Riddick. Dave has followed in the footsteps of wrestler-and-actor Dwayne Johnson and even received tips from Dwayne about his career.

“He was actually pretty helpful about some advice he had. I was asking about how he balances both because he still wrestles and still has films so it’s really a tricky thing to do. Especially because the Marvel universe and the WWE universe are so big, but yeah he was very helpful on how to balance both and make them work for me,” Dave said.

Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel and hits UK screens on July 31.
