Radcliffe’s best friend romance

Daniel Radcliffe has opened up about his love for girlfriend Erin Darke.

The 25-year-old actor said the reason his relationship with Erin is so perfect is because they have such a strong friendship combined with their romance.

Daniel and Erin first met on the set of 2012 movie Kill Your Darlings and have been together ever since.

“I'm going out with my best friend at the moment,” Daniel told People.com. “And that's, I think, the way it should be.”

Daniel also revealed his parents Alan and Marcia were close friends before they began dating. And it is the basis of his parents’ relationship that he found so inspirational.

"My mum and dad were best friends before they started dating, and now they've been married for 30-something years,”

Daniel said. “So, I think it is a very natural thing. If you can get to a point where you're dating or married to somebody you consider your best friend, that's what will make it work."

Daniel is currently starring in new romantic comedy What If – a departure from many of his previous roles.

But while the film gave Daniel the chance to display his rarely-used comedic skills, there was also another aspect of the script which proved particularly attractive to him.

“I can’t get enough of being naked!” Daniel joked. “It's not something that I'm trying to achieve. It's something that I don't have a problem with.”

Daniel first stripped off in the play Equus, and says that since then he has had something of a penchant for being nude.
“I did the play where I got naked when I was 17, once you do that you don't really care,” he explained.

"It immunes you to any inhibitions. Again, not something I seek out but never something I'm going to shy away from."
