The 16th edition of Cinema Made in Italy returns to BFI Southbank from 4–8 March 2026, offering a prestigious window into contemporary Italian filmmaking. Curated by Adrian Wootton OBE, this year’s program features ten new productions and a digital restoration of the 1959 classic The Facts of Murder.
The festival opens on 4 March—Vivaldi’s birthday—with the UK premiere of Primavera, an Antonio Vivaldi biopic directed by renowned opera director Damiano Michieletto. Other highlights include the star-studded Euro-Western Heads or Tails? featuring John C. Reilly, and the literary biopic Fuori, starring Valeria Golino. Reflecting a strong year for female directors, the festival closes with Isabel Coixet’s Three Goodbyes.
As a staple of the London film calendar, most screenings include live Q&As with the filmmakers. Tickets are now on general sale.
