Rupert Grint joins Beach Boys biopic

(Cover) - EN Movies - Rupert Grint and Chloë Moretz are teaming up for The Drummer, a biopic of Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson.

They join an all-star cast including Aaron Eckhart who is portraying the late musician.

Rupert will play Stan Shapiro, a William Morris mailroom intern who became a good friend of the drummer.

Chloë will star as the rocker’s daughter Jennifer Wilson, who was by her father’s side during his struggles.

Vera Fermina also joins the cast as Christine McVine, a Fleetwood Mac member and love interest of Dennis.

The film is slated to begin shooting on June 15 in locations in California and Savannah, Georgia. It follows the life of Dennis who drowned in 1983 in Los Angeles after drinking all day and diving in the afternoon to recover items he had thrown overboard at the Marina Del Rey.

Chloë last appeared in the award-winning Hugo, while Rupert is best known for playing Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.
