Amy Schumer praised the "love of her life" as she celebrated her one-year anniversary with boyfriend Ben Hanisch.

The smitten couple shared touching snaps of each other on social media as they reached the special milestone on Saturday (19Nov16).

Amy posted a photo on Instagram of furniture designer Ben chowing down on a burger with the cheeky caption, "A year ago today I met the love of my life. Happy anniversary f**kface. #Iwantoseeotherpeople."

Ben shared a sweet snap of the pair together, revealing he and Amy were inseparable for six days after their first date. "A year ago I met the love of my life," he captioned the shot. "We both weren’t looking for a relationship at the time, but something felt right from the very first night we met. We ended up spending 6 days in a row together. This pic was taken in New Orleans and was the night I knew I wanted to spend my life with her."

And it wasn't just his followers who were touched by his sweet message to Amy - his mother was also incredibly proud of her son's romantic side.

"I'm crying!" Deborah Hanisch wrote to him. "That is so touching & sweet, and all what I can say is that I've taught my son right, to love, respect and be humble & nice to all and especially to the one he truly Loves - AMY!! CONGRATS! I've got your wine ready for us to toast to!!"

The couple met on a dating app, and went on their first date soon after. "Things were just really easy with him," Amy told People magazine in August (16). "There were no games, no waiting three days. It was clear and easy. He was so sweet. He didn’t know who I was. He’d heard my name."

The Trainwreck star went public with Ben in January (16), and over the last year the comedian has taken her Chicago native boyfriend to a variety of celebrity events, including the GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2016 and the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards.

Amy previously dated fellow comedian Anthony Jeselnik and WWE star Dolph Ziggler, but she says Ben is her first serious boyfriend. "I feel like Ben is the first guy who's really been my boyfriend," she told Marie Claire earlier this year (16). "There are guys who, if they heard me say that, would want to punch me in the face, but yeah, it's the truth."
