Principal photography begins on EKLO-I with full cast Shy Studios Nepal has announced.

EKLO-I has begun filming in Nepal for 3 months, staring Jamie Bacon (Brighton, Netflix’s - White Lines) and Pradeep Khadka (Prem Geet 1, Prem Geet 3) also Kebita Nepali boards the project with Vijay Lama (Everest, The Last Ritual) and Benisha Hamel (Blind rocks, Ghar, King Returns, Upahaar).

Directed by Pradeep Shahi, (The Last Ritual) his present film has just been picked up by Scatena & Rosner films for world-wide sales with a theatrical release slated in 2024 .

Sci-fi epic EKLO-I is the first film of its kind to be filmed in Nepal. Directed and written by Pradeep Shahi's, it is set in the post-apocalyptic future of 2090. Astronaut Zach (Jamie bacon and Ariel Kabita Nepali) crash-land in the Himalayan mountains while on a reconnaissance mission. Sixty years after humanity fled Earth due to a deadly epidemic, Zach and Ariel uncover a hidden city of caves. There, they encounter a mysterious guardian (Pradeep Khadka) uncovering secrets that challenge their understanding of survival and destiny.

Director Pradeep Shahi expresses his deep gratitude for the exceptional talent of the actors involved in the project. With the biggest stars from Nepal and an incredible movie star from the UK collaborating to bring this world to life.

The film is poised to make a significant impact on the Western market. This project serves as a unique blend of Nepali culture intertwined with western influences. The film embodies the vibrancy of the Nepal's thriving film industry which is thrilled to be a part of this project. The first of its kind to be shot in the breathtaking Himalayan region. It will also showcase the exceptional talent that Nepal has. EKLO-I will hit cinemas in 2025. EKLO means Alone.

Bacon is enthusiastic about the project and collaboration with a fantastic script and cast that beautifully integrates Nepali culture into a wild post-apocalyptic sci-fi narrative.

Nepali, will soon to be seen in the TV series ( SAAHU) making her film debut, staring along side Jamie Bacon known for his role in the Netflix series White Lines and a the lead role in Steven cookson feature film Brighton. He has also appeared in The Hoarder and BBC drama Father Brown, and will appear in the BBC network’s show Mr Loverman, which debut at Tribeca. He has also wrapped filming on Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor’s debut feature Dreamers, which is being made with BBC Films.
