Venom: The Last Dance makes a big debut at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

The Marvel Entertainment film starring Tom Hardy is the third and final film in the Venom trilogy, and also marks a full house for the films in reaching Number 1 in the UK. Venom (2018) spent three weeks at the top, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) managed one.

In the final instalment of the series, Eddie Brock and Venom have to make a devastating decision as they’re pursued by hunters from both of their worlds.

At Number 2 is British festive favourite Love Actually, which lifts two, while last week’s Number 1 Alien: Romulus is pushed to Number 3.

Sci-fi adventure epic Transformers One (4) comes in as our second highest new entry this week; telling the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, it stars Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree-Henry amongst a star-studded cast.

Next up is a festive treat with Elf (5) and The Polar Express (6) both enjoying another week in the Top 10, just ahead of spooky sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (7) which drops five places as Christmas begins to take hold of the chart.

Flying into the Top 10 for the very first time this week is British comedy Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger (8), which previously peaked at Number 14, closely followed by 2011 animated feature Arthur Christmas (9) which marks its fifth total week in the Top 10.

Finally, Deadpool & Wolverine will not be moved as it holds strong at Number 10 for another week.
