Two cops Fred and Aldo are out looking for criminals that commit robbery. Chasing them through the streets on motorbikes and hitting people in a high collisions of violence. Cops on the rough side are the best to deal with the mess but this wont end well. They want the streets clean will do anything to resolve it. They kill and beat their way to the top of the gang land. Violence, action, sex and drugs follows them everywhere. High octane blood splatting murders, gore splashing gouging and fast paced motorbike means its bound to get messy....

Fernando Di Leo (the films writer) and Ruggero Deodato (director) were a part of the italian industry that would blossom into a major art form. Greta films by both and other film makers often were inspired by other profitable productions. The replication of films that had been hits in international box offices made the viability of films far more solid for the backers. Often it was the case that these great films were merged and as this film shows it is an over the top merge of Dirty Harry and The French Connection. This also has a little blend of the buddy films that had become big in the later 60s. The film has the usual violence, sex and mysoginistic approach to its subject but also has the taste for blood and revenge many craved. I would say a modern audience will enjoy its excess but will still find its content difficult enough to be repelled by it.

As for the blu ray...

Great looking but empty of additionals make me sad but 88 films are great at picking them!
