Chace Crawford surprised students at a special needs school in China with an impromptu visit.

The actor was in China last week and stopped by the Special Education Center of Children's Palace, a school for children with special needs in Guangzhou.

Chace spent time with the students, taking part in their art classes and choir practice. The children were so happy to see him, they made sure to give him a gift to remember them by.

"The kids were very excited to have him there and even prepared songs to sing for Chace," a source told E! News. "They also presented him with a piece of artwork drawn by one of the students."

News of Chace being at the school soon spread, and the Gossip Girl star was soon inundated by fans trying to get his autograph and a photo.

The 28-year-old also visited the Happy Valley mall in Guangzhou as a guest in their anniversary celebration.

Chace was seen filming new movie Undrafted last month. Undrafted is a film based on a true story about a baseball player who is not drafted, bringing on an epiphany. Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin is co-starring.

Other celebrities to visit China lately are Nicole Kidman, Avril Lavigne, Michelle Dockery and Quentin Tarantino. All four were at the Huading Image Awards at the Venetian in Macau last week.
