Shooting has completed on UK Director Warren Dudley's new feature Fright. The movie, due for release in 2024, stars Gwyneth Evans, Jill Priest and Game of Thrones star Dan Tuite. Following on from the critical success of his award winning previous title Six Years Gone, Fright is Dudley's 5th feature.

The film, a gothic style, black and white thriller follows a young woman (Evans) and her struggles with crippling agoraphobia. The 18 year old Emily lives in constant fear of the outside... and of her mysterious mother (Priest). The shadow of her missing father (Tuite) also looms large in Emily's tragic life.

The story takes place in a dark, claustrophobic mansion in the depths of southern England during the 1930's.

Director Warren Dudley said, “I am a huge fan of classic thrillers like The Innocents and, of course, Psycho. If we can bring even a tenth of the taut and uncomfortable feeling those masterpieces give an audience we will have done a great job. I am hoping to mix my love of that genre with a dash of modern horror with Fright."

On the style of Fright he said, “The temptation with horror is to go all out for jump scares. Lots of handheld camera stuff and a very 'cutty' edit. We actually banned anything handheld on the set of Fright. A great location, a camera fixed on a tripod and a haze machine, and you are half way there! We really hope audiences can see our passion on screen, and enjoy the movie as much as we enjoyed creating it."

Following a festival run Fright will be available on multiple platforms from June 2024.
